Respiratory Services

When a condition has altered one’s ability to breathe normally, finding and deciding on the right care can be overwhelming. Vibra Hospital of Northern California is here to help.

Specialty hospitals like Vibra Hospital of Northern California are designed to provide care for individuals suffering from serious medical conditions. When individuals with respiratory problems require a longer hospitalization period than what traditional hospitals may be able to offer, they’re sometimes referred to us to continue their treatment plans.

Our respiratory program team members have extensive experience working with patients who are unable to breathe normally, as well as those who have become unable to breathe on their own. We treat both individuals who have become suddenly ill, as well as those with chronic pulmonary conditions.

Some of our patients require mechanical ventilation, a life-saving medical treatment used for individuals who have extreme difficulty breathing, or an inability to breathe on their own. Our team members are trained to manage the unique challenges of ventilator dependency and the ventilator weaning process. We also treat patients who have high flow oxygen needs or require BiPAP therapy.

Our respiratory program features:

Specialized care in a safe hospital environment.

Our respiratory care team includes physician specialists, respiratory therapists, and ACLS-certified nurses. We provide advanced pulmonary care using the latest technology and treatment protocols. Our team members monitor patients for changes in their condition and can address complications that may arise as a result of their condition. Throughout the hospital stay, we can help patients manage their medication, pain, nutrition, hygiene, and general care needs.

Focused rehabilitation services.

Individuals who have suffered from severe respiratory conditions may struggle with weakness, mobility issues, de-conditioning, communication challenges, and swallowing issues as a result. Our rehab services are tailored to each patient’s abilities and needs. When appropriate for the patient’s condition, we’re able to provide a full range of rehabilitation services (physical, occupational, and speech-language therapies), whether at a patient’s bedside or in our rehab gym.

Patient and family support services.

Each patient is assigned a dedicated, interdisciplinary support team. We are here to help patients and their family members through the recovery process. We encourage family involvement and offer education opportunities for caregivers. Our team members work hard to ensure that each individual has access to the information, resources, training, and support they need.
